NOC and affiliated companies

Hi Waqas,

Even im waiting for the latest updates regarding NOC. As i am also working in one of the Libyan Oil Company and still yet i didnot received my Feb & Mar 2011 salaries. I don't know when these crisis will be over. Last time Libyan Oil Minister asked all foreign workers to come and join their jobs but we didnot received any email from our Oil companies even there is no way yet to go to Libya due to No Fly Zone area.

I work for the NOC as well. Some of our ex-pats are being paid off, I don't know if I am one of them or not. I spoke to one of my team members yesterday, and they are all safe and well thank god.

Just been notified I have had my contract terminated Although they said they may re employ me once the trouble in Libya is over. Stay safe my friends still in Libya.

NOC has issued a letter two or three weeks ago demanding all of foreign workers who abandoned their workplaces to go back within a week. They even sent a reminder in the beginning of April. Wity, merry and gay.

Hi all,
two of my friends in zueitina got paid for march. they were on sterling payroll. i have been informed by company that US$ remittence is an issue due to embargo. doesn't make sense how sterling salaries are paid even in embargo but $ could not be paid.
i agree that companies are laying off people. The maximum people could get paid will be till March after which companies might put people on leave without pay till situation improves. Does not look like a practical approach, most of the people will eventually quit if situation prolongs.
lets see and hope for the best for the country and people of libya.

Most of my friends already received their march salaries yesterday but im still waiting and regarding NOC i never received any letter or reminderto join backeven none of my other frieds received anything in India or Pakistan.
