Can I ask please, what sort of annual, or monthly salary a British teacher working in Libya might expect? He would be on a 1, or a 2 year contract, and recruited whilst in the UK. Thank you.

Hello, whereabouts in Libya would he be teaching?

Salaries can range from 1700-5000 LYD depending on qualifications & experience.

The location is Tripoli. A monthly salary of $1500 was mentioned. As he is a UK teacher currently, this equates to about £1200 which is very low for a teacher with 25 years teaching experience. Even in the UK, his monthly income after tax and national.insurance is over £2000. Is $1500 monthly reasonable?
