If anyone can get online in Libya, I was wondering if you could tell me ..

I've sent text messages through to Libyan friends in Benghazi - I'm in France, the last one (10mins ago) went through & was immediately 'delivered' ... makes me suspicious, are they going through or have lines been blocked??

Just hoping that it all calms down soon!

The net was closed down last night and judging from Al-Jazeera so was the GSM network.

Thanks, I'm glued to AlJaz at the moment ...

It's a -913-xxx-xxx number if that signifies one network or the other?

If they are already out of the country, would it still go through???

I was able to reach my husband by mobile (local number) and way able to get though fairly easy. He said power has been off most of the day, and he is outside of the City. This was a little over an hour ago.
