Not sure if this might be referring to the thread I started on the Mosque's loudspeakers last week.

I did indeed delete this thread; however, I posted that I would be doing so before I did it, and was sure to thank contributors as well as apologize for getting rid of people's comments.

I simply felt that I got all I could have got from my query, and that things were getting really rather weird - way weirder than I need.  I use this excellent forum for information only - not for squabbling.

I reiterate my apology for deleting people's words - although in actual fact I copied the whole thread before deleting so that if anybody wants their comments back you can have them!

Weird, here!  Welcome to Libya, Expat Forum!  Like someone has said in the past, who needs TV when you have the forum.

I wasn't gonna say anything, KK, but FYI: you just don't do that kind of stuff, brotha. It's like slapping a man--it should never be done! It is just...wrong.

At one point people were posting poems back and forth to each other in Arabic.

Of what possible benefit was that to me, as the original poster, or other expatriate readers seeking information?  The thread was abusive, and abused, and I terminated it.
