Mobile Sim card in libya

Can u suggest me to take a chipper mobile connection to talk from Libya to India (Kolkata).

Please give me the details for the same.

Get a 3G compatible smartphone and use skype mobile. You can dial handsets in any country. I've only used it over wifi so far, so no idea whether Libyana is blocking skype.

can you get a 3G line here! would be interested in that currently running on my home country sim which can not find any 3G networks

Libyana has 3G. Currently I'm on Almadar (they only have GPRS/edge). Maybe Libyana won't let you're home country sim roam on their networks?

I don't think that either Almadar or Libyana have reciprocal roaming agreements with anyone...

I don't know - maybe there's a stack of forms you can fill out in Arabic to enable that?

Can anyone tell me which network is better? i would assume the 3g is. I am looking online for a unlocked GSM world cell sim found a few but the rates are wicked!!
