New member introduction + recommendations of any banks

I am 60 years old and am planning to retire this year from teaching at STL Community College. My 30 year daughters (twins) and 3 year old grandson will be joining me in relocating to Ghana. We have land in Odumase-Krobo Region, but the home is incomplete. Looking to rent for 1 year in Takoradi or Kumasi until home is complete. I have some friends that have lived in Ghana for over 20 years and have visited the beautiful county several times.

I am looking for recommendations of any banks/financial institutions used by expats, preferably one that has branches in both US and Ghana. My friends have provided some, however, I am interested in hearing about others experiences as well.

well i will say ghana is a nice country to live in,have lived here all my life but with accomodation sure you can have one so far as u get here, it will take time for you to get a a home to rent as there are agents whose jobs are to search for homes for rent for people..but u can come with you can lodge at a cheap hotel for like a week nd there are many agents that can get u a home to rent within that week,i live in kumasi
and will help u or assist u to get a home to rent with no difficulties and with banks i think there are numerous banks here i can recommend for you but i think since you are wanting a best bank,Barclays bank will be great for you
