American driver's license

Hello everyone - I recently moved to Cairo, and I am in the process of buying a vehicle. My question is, as an American can I use my American driver's license here in Egypt as I do not have an Egyptian one and what is the process for using the american one?Thanks in advance for your help.

Hello !

I don't think that you can use your American license here , i think you will have to acquire an Egyptian license first , then you will have to get an international driving license afterwords from the car club here in Egypt .

you can wait for other members here who already done this process to confirm because i am not sure , or you can contact the Car Club your self and see if there is anything you need to do .
