Thanks for promoting the website!
I noticed mine had changed...I think I'll go for the orange one, it should stand out nicely on the blue background.
Where do I go on my blog to post the code to add the Logo?
It depends of your blog system. Are you on blogger.com, wordpres.com ?
I am on blogger and I also need to know where to insert the code to show the logo, Di
I prefer the Expat.com logo at the bottom of your site... can I grab it... pretty please?
Yes no problem CatM
Thanks Julien :-)
Hi Julien,
Newly joined, and have just added my blog to expat-blog.
Darned cute logo that I would love to add to my blog (blogspot...), but it doesn't seem like it likes the code. Any suggestions on how to tweak what you're providing to allow blogspot/blooger to accept?
thanks and looking forward to reading more on this site!
~kristina
Hi Kristina, I managed by going to the Gadgets section on Blogger. You'll find there's one there you can download that allows you to paste code, Di
I am not very good with blogger.com, thanks disamba for your help. Kristina, does it help?

Thanks, Disamba...couldn't find it in Gadgets, but something you said made me think of one more thing to try-which worked!
Okay, I am new to this. I have a blogspot blog and it does not allow me to copy and paste the logo for the cute little suitcase gadget. Nor is it searchable on the list of gadgets they have. Nor does it accept me typing it in, illegal characters or whatever.... Any ideas??
I use blogger and under gagets, where you can add your own url, I tried to paste the logo info and it does not take it. I have left the http:// and pasted it in after that, tried removing that and pasting...no luck! Any ideas?
Thanks, penny
Hey Penny and Kelly !
Have you tried the html gadget on Blogger ?
Yes, it is the html gadget on blogger and the text widget on wordpress you are looking for ;-) BTW, is it possible to make them without the white background so that they blend better in a site design? SY
We had this somewhere ... but I've got so many files on my desktop it will take me a while to find it
Ola,
I use wordpress and tried to just cut and paste on the blogroll section and it did not work. Help.
Ciao,
O
hello, i'm a newbie and my blog is on livejournal. i cannot edit my sidebar to add this logo... only one customer sidebar allowed.
help!
I use wordpress and I am not sure how I can add the expat logo. Help please
Hello! New to the blog....as a member. We also had trouble trying to put the suitcase logo on our blog site. So I just form a "cowboy engineering" link with my own blog...telling the reader to click here to enter into an interesting place where ex-pats of all different stipes meet. It works really well....although I would like to have a bit of Ex-pat propaganda pieces to put on our blog sheet.
The Old Gringo
Hello, tried to post as typelist as this has worked before, maybe something else? A module, widget perhaps?
thanks, bay

Well I am trying to pop in a gadget but gmail has intensified my level of frustration by telling me repeatedly that I have illegal characters in the simpler Expat.com logo. Any thoughts?
Richard
Thank you for the logo although I'm having trouble putting it on my page. I use Wordpress so I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I will keep trying.
Susan
Hi there! I'm trying to add the code on my blog as well. It seems everyone is having the same problem. I tried to search for the blogger gadgets version but no luck in finding it. Any other suggestions? Thanks!
Help!! Where do I add it exactly??
if your talking about your profile photo? go to profile not photos
if your talking about blog page code, it just goes in line where you would type, place code with photo code inside it
For Wordpress blogs, as people have already mentioned you need to add a text widget in your sidebar or footer and simply paste the html code in there.
I have saved a verion of the original orange picture and removed the white background so it can be used against any colour without the white square.
I'm happy for you to use this version if you like (can be seen in action on gringostarr.net), the html for the link is
Hope this is of use.
Hi
I am using using wordpress so not sure how to add the Expat.com Logo...anyone any ideas, please?
Cheers

I found the BLOGSPOT solution after several attempts:
1. go to Design on your dashboard
2. click on PAGE ELEMENTS
3. click on ADD A GADGET (I put mine on the right hand gadget clumn)
4. under BASICS you will find HTML/JAVA SCRIPT
5. paste the HTML for the logo you have chosen
6. SAVE
7. tadaaaaa - there it is!
Hihi, I just signed up, I'm using a new platform called ECPod (raisingrockstar.ecpod.com) which is still being debugged (I picked them tho they are so super new cos they're not being blocked in China which would eventually hopefully get me more readers. I thought.)
Tried to follow anikabrazil's helpful directions but couldn't find page elements/ add a gadget so I emailed an administrator and showed them your expat logo asking how to add it... (because I can't tell whether the gadget function will be up eventually or maybe they don't have one
)
Hi,
I would like to put the logo on my blog but it doesn'tseem to want to work on any of the areas I have tried. I have a link to you but not the little logo. Can you help me please.
Cheers
Robyn
Hi and welcome on the forum Robyn!
Have you followed all the instructions? On what site is your blog?
Regards
Armand
Hi Armand,
My technically challenged self.... with a little help from my friend eventually worked it out and your logo is residing very nicely on my blog. It was the java script etc that I had to use to get the logo on and I didn't realise that.
Cheers
Robyn
Glad to here the good news Robyn
Have a good day
Armand
Hi, Julien,
It may be simple, but I couldn't make it work. I use blogspot. Could you give more details? Exactly where would I enter the information? In blogspot there is a place to list favorite blogs, but there seem to be two different URL's in your instructions. Maybe it's just me.
Hi gubabbaboy,
Have you already tried this ? :
