How many jerks did you meet in your life?

Dear Expat-blog members,

Women may often refer "jerk" as those who cheated them in love.

In this topic, I mean more than that scale.

I had several jerks in work.

One among the jerk I met was a client asking me to translate several columns of a tourism website. Imagine you have to work via e-mail and phone, of course well-knowing of their company.

At first, he paid 2/3 over the total fee for the deposit. I thought this would possibly be a good client.

Things just went wrong after I handed the complete translation over and got paid half of the rest payment. The client asked for several weeks to check and give feedback for final correction.

Then, he kept silent for such a long time. For more than a year, I gave up after calling him over and over again, getting the same answer: I am still reading it.

I just did not bother suing him out as it was not that worthy. However, I do believe in something called "causes and effects".

Another jerk I met was an employer. For which, I know many other working people like me would have met at least once.

Sigh.... It does not mean we are too naive to get abused by those jerks. It's just no other way to go at the time.

so many jerks at work and at home i might become so stressful if i told you mine but the best part is either both ways we could learn something from them, like don't be as jerk as them or if you can't bit them join them....lol

just smile ok.

hahaha, jerk people will only stop if being ignore or show them that you are aloof in a sense of they will be the last one to know

Have met many jerks in my time. I just quickly erase them from my mind and move on.

To Nhung11281's comments about being short paid on a translation job, I can think of far better words to describe that person, I would use words that would be moderated/deleted here.

C'mon all bosses are jerk, some of them may be angels but few...the good thind is they inspire to go far so as not to stay under their responsability!

Too many..the last one i just 'DUMPED" him like a month a go and still sending me text...hahhaaaa ( he might th8 that i still wait for him) as in past he keeps coming back to me but for this time,Oooooopppppppppsssss........My Heart is closed for "jerk" like him

If someone cheats on me he's not a jerk. He's a "boring, tedious, uninteresting, monotonous, flatulent, flat-headed, cloth-eared, swivel-eyed, fornicating little git".
