Birth Registration

RM 112.00 + RM 9.00 (ICWF) = RM 121  + RM 9.50 Outsourcing Agency Service Fee

It's not expensive at all. Our children were born in Gleneagles Hospital and we got the birth certificates ourselves very easily along Jalan Tun Razak. However, we paid extra to have three original birth certificates for each child and also copies too as it is such an important document.

I need info of JPN here
after childbirth in Malaysia, how many days one has apply for the birth certificate
what are charges

You are Indian citizen or Malaysian

Indian citizen

Since you need to birth certificates anyway, you should just go along to a JPN office and apply for the certificate right away. I believe mine took around 2 or 3 days and it was cheap. That's many years ago so I do not remember the precise charge.

i visited one of the NRD branch near to me directly for the birth certificate but have been told to first take the appointment /slot for a particular date & time and then only allowed to enter the office for submission.

below is the portal link to book appointment:
https://mytemujanji.jpn.gov.my

open a separate window for google translate to understand content as its all in malay.
navigation is very easy as you need to select location /branch and later select available date and time slot for submission (again this one is all written in malay) and then click submission , you will get a confirmation letter which you need to carry with you during appointment date.

Mine is booked for next week i.e. 15-OCT , and i am only anxious on how the experience is going to be since i expect the staff to be speaking malay . hopefully they will be cooperative in this matter.

FYI , i only see the note on the portal that the submission to be done within 60 days from the birth , whereas on some forums i saw people saying that submission has be done within 14 days. ( i hope the 14 day timeline was the one before the covid phase and not more applicable here). TQ

****Update****
I went to JPN branch as per the appointment date ,and managed to get the Birth certificate in less than 10 mins . Since they only allowed the applicant who booked the date n time ,there was hardly any rush.

Make sure to take hospital letter / wife appointment card / marriage certificate original & both husband and wife's passport.

overall i paid < 15 MYR which includes 2 additional birth certifcate copies along with the xerox charges which the took for my document themselves.
