If you don't get a better response, you might find a craftsman on the furniture street in D10, Ngô Gia Tự. There are 50 stores of sellers, I don't know if there are any makers. If you can get a someone to translate your needs into a letter, with a sketch, you could show that to shops and maybe they can refer you to someone - because if you don't know Vietnamese it will be difficult to explain what you need.
