hi e1 im going to be visiting lagos in may and i was wondering if i could get some feed back as to how much money i will be needing to have a comfortable time there my hotel is already paid for so im thinking about how much spending money i will be needing

OK guys, here is the info you are seeking;

1. Cost of living in Lagos ranges from $1500/person - anything depending upon your vices and habbits. If hotel expenses are paid for than you would be needing money for occasional eating out and clubbing, for which i think $1500-2000 looks quite good.

2. VI & Lagos are quite expensive on rentals as compared to other parts of lagos but are also more secure. Fully furnished 1 bedroom appt will cost you around $15-20,000 a year and so on.

3. If your spouse would want to work you need to settle down before you start your search, it may not be easy.

4. Lagos is not as bad as people make it out to be especially VI & Ikoyi are much happening places with reasonably good night life. Indian/European food stuff and products are available in plenty. So have fun and welcome to Lagos.

Cheers,

Ajay

Hey Ajay.

Thanks for the valuable info. This is quiet encouraging. Just one more query, is it mandatory to take yellow fever vaccination before travelling to Nigeria. If yes, u have any idea how to get it in India. Am based out of Mumbai.

It would be great to connect with u once am there. Are you staying alone or with family.

Regards,
