Making friends with Saudis

Is any native english speakers interested to get to know a saudi?
Or is it not allowed to make friendship with locals? I just joined today. I have live in the U.S for 4 years and it's been 2 years since then. I would like to get to know people who are native English speakers!!  Have great day guys!!!!
Peace!!! ^_^

do you have a sister?  i have no problems dealing with locals, they're one of my favorite things about saudi

I do have sister, she is 16 years old but I don't think she will agree to meet new people, she is a little bit shy. I'm so sorry :(   I would like to meet you but my stubborn sister won't agree.

if u meant native..there a lots of online language exchange you can have a conversation with native english speakers for free. or just join native english ppl forum. Anyway I dont see a clear dividing line why some ppl prefer to talk to native english if the purpose here is just to get to know the saudis.

Was this a joke? I find the question a bit offensive.

I don't know any native english speakers in here. I just find it weird and creepy to walk up to someone who is out of this country and tell them hi, can we be friends!! I don't know how others will react but I lived in the U.S and I feel it's harder to make friends with native English speakers than there. I have a lot of friends in the U.S and before I went there I was awkward kid. I didn't make a lot of saudi friends in my life, I just find it hard to socialise with them.

Why so?  It's OK to ask, because I'm a man and meeting a female in saudi arabia is suspicious. So if my sister and I meeting her, that will be better than meeting her alone.

Hello everyone,

Just to inform you that some off topic posts have been removed from this thread.

Thank you.

Greate  Answer :)

US citizens living here in KSA specially here in Riyadh do have special gatherings on weekends. They have this barbecue night, camping and acquaintance parties.

Most of the Americans are living in the compound so they can do things that they want to do to fight boredom.

Making friends with the Saudis are cool too. You will find Saudis who are fluent in English and open minded too.

They are everywhere! In coffee shops, malls and even your work mate.
