What is the best island near Jakarta to visit ? My expat friends would love to have Christmas holiday to an island which is not so far from Jakarta. Anyone has idea about this ? Awaiting your ideas.

You could try Banka or Belitung or Bali or thousand islands. It all depends on your friends budgets, what you want to do on the island and the availability of hotel rooms and flights or ferries. The longer you leave it the more expensive things get.
