Hey good day. I am wondering what cities you are in Portugal?  What do you like about this city?

I like small town.  Walking distance. Cobble stones. Not sure what fits best for me.

Hi Lentzion,

I would suggest you this youtube channel, it can be an inspiration for your choices. More than saying my opinion here, these are opinions of these expats about Portugal.

Channel "Stay Classy Vlog"
A danish couple who lives in Lisbon & Madeira Island but they travel a lot, from North to South inland but also in our islands, Azores and Madeira, mostly out of touristic spots. They show to their subscribers, their point of view as expats. They are a awesome couple, with a good sense of humor, showing us a cleaver way to search for experiences and enjoy what life brings good to them, while sharing them to their subscribers. They do great videos in several parts of Portugal.

Playlists: Algarve, Madeira, Alentejo, Lisbon, Azores, Expats living in Portugal, ...

I am an American looking to move to the Algarve region of Portugal soon and this website, FB, podcast & youtube channel are great resources.  This South African guy Nick moved to Portugal many years ago and is an expert in all the towns along the Algarve (i.e. southern) coast.

Good day! I am from the USA. I was wondering about taking a tour in Portugal to get some ideas about where I should rent. I want to cobble stones. The quantness of a small town, walking distance to the shops and restaurants. I am hoping to make some new friends. I want a new  adventure. Does anyone have any ideas?

Thanks 😊

Hello, Good day! Yes I have some 2 months of experience ...recently moved here :)

You can take flat/ room on rent in near city of Lisbon: Like: Odivilas, Amadora, Pontinha, etc.

From these cities all of the Lisbon metropolitan area attached. You can go anywhere in the area easily.

These are small towns as you asked for.. & there is shops, restaurants, markets available for all of daily needs.

You can reach me out for more details & your questions :) Thanks
