Just landed two days ago!! Have been trying to get over the jet lag of my 22 hour flight. Would love to meet some new people. I am currently in a hotel but need to find a home sooner than later. Any advice on that would be lovely : ) Will be here for the next two years and looking forward to new beginnings. YAY!!

You didn't say what type of accommodations you will be looking for but in general city center places are more expensive. If you choose to live away from city center you will find the same type accommodations for less money.
You can check web sites like mrroomfinder.com or ask other expats for recommendations. I live at place called Baan Saran Nuch which you can Google to find more info.

Go to Denny's Corner at Sukhumvit Soi 22. Ask for Som, she can help you around. I am a expat and always there during Friday and Saturday gathering with expat and new friends in Bangkok. Cheers
