I'm thai, live in Bangkok and never been outside thailand for long period, I travelled to Australia and Newzeland once 10 years ago. I've 1 daughter and good husband and I feel your life is very interesting, people who can think and do what they want are very cool.
Actually I'm a doctor, sometime I feel my job are a little bit bored but since 2 months ago I try to change and do something different like make friends from other country so if you like.

Are any of you new people on Twitter? I've found it to be a great place to make friends when I first got here. Start a twitter account and then look for other expats posting on there, start commenting on their posts and you'll have a bunch of friends in no time.

I have found that Twitter and Facebook are both really good for meeting people in BKK but it does take some effort on my part. I'm always initiating contact with people that I think are interesting and it's not hard to quickly built a network of friends.

Some good ppl in BKK but also a lot of con artists and parasites (especially amongst the ex-pat community).  Careful of those coming into BKK for a few days and wanting someone to party with (this usually means, you do all the arranging and pay for everything, then they go home).
