Hi,

I have come across this information about mobility budget instead of opting a car.
One of the pillars/option in it is mentioned that if an employee resides within 5km of the company location, then they can make use of mobility budget for paying rent.

How far is this true?
Kindly share your thoughts on this.

Regards,.
Pk

Hi @Sjpk ,

I have recently received an offer and if I don’t choose to have a company car, I will receive the mobility budget as a net amount for my rent. The requirement is living within 10km of the office.

Hello bc2910, Does that mean that you'll be able to pay your house rent from your gross salary directly if the house is within 10 KMs from office?

Hi @rajpnr,

Mobility budget is different from the salary. As far as I know, if you decide to take the mobility budget instead of a company car, you can use this mobility budget to pay your rent (or at least some part of your rent) and this amount is not subject to tax. The mobility budget’s amount depends on your employer/offer.
