Dear All

I am going to Uganda on a job offer and stay for sometime. Will reach in April 2021.I have a few questions to get myself prepared, need help.

1. What precautions related to health should I take ?
2. What challenges I might face due to change of climate?
3. The job offers 2500 USD a month + accommodation + car + fuel. Will it suffice?
4. If I plan to bring my child of 4 years , which school should I put her into? ( My company is not providing child education expenses)
5. How is the political scenario now post presidential elections ?

Thanks in advance .

Uganda is having a good climate favorable to everyone. We are through with elections and business is.back to normal. The country is peaceful and very low covid cases as of now.

You are welcome to stay in the Pearl of Africa.

Hello Friend - pl find details answers ......

1. What precautions related to health should I take ?
Ans: You must take the vaccine for yellow fever before you fly, mosquitos are too many and its easy to get effected! (Malaria Typhoid could be risk if you dont take care )
2. What challenges I might face due to change of climate?
Ans: Climate is heavenly ! Country is beautiful , you would enjoy the stay if you like old village life not much of modern facilities but slow peaceful beautiful  life !
3. The job offers 2500 USD a month + accommodation + car + fuel. Will it suffice?
Ans: That depends which company you are working  and authentication, how you manage your expenses. It Seems to be a very good salary for a single person but if you plan to move your family you are going to burden your pockets, salary may fall short for savings and if you  plan to send some back in India that would be more difficult.
4. If I plan to bring my child of 4 years , which school should I put her into? ( My company is not providing child education expenses)
Ans: Schools are good as Indian well known branches are working in Kampala , however expenses would be equally high if you plan a family stay. More over for higher education 7th standard onwards you will see the urgent need to move child back to India !
5. How is the political scenario now post presidential elections ?
Ans: Seems unpredictable at times but a safe country to live in.
