Am I being scammed by Moroccan man

Hi everyone I'm english woman who fell in love with a morrocan man, I went on holiday to turkey and he was animation team, so from the holiday everyday for 4 month we have spoke all day everyday, we video call every night, about 100 times a day he would tell me he loves me and I genuinely thought he loved me and wanted to be with me, we did fall out like most couples in long distance relationship especially but we always sorted things because we loved each other.

Until saturday when he asked me for £800 for flights back to morroco when his job finished and for some where to live, I said I would try help him but never said I would, so because of this hes now so cold with me, says we cant be together because If i can't help him that means I dont care... I'm heart broken that someone could do this, am I being scammed I really dont know what to think??

I don't know you or the other guy, so all I can offer is a "probably"; it's not the first time we've heard stories such as these.

I'm with Cynic here, we have heard this kind of story so many times I am sorry to say. But the ball is in your court. I would seriously think twice handing over £800, thats quite a lot of money.

I know, it's so sad, hes not even opening my messages much now, goes hours without replying, says he loves me but he cant be with me, just wish I didnt feel used

Hi Cheryll,

I have to agree with the others, it sounds like a total scam job. I would stop communicating with him altogether and delete his number or block him and not waste anymore time over him.

About him telling you that he can't be together with you anymore because you won't give him any money or "help" him as he prefers to call it. Well of course if you don't give him any money you are no use to him. If also shows that he has zero feelings for you and he is just a scammer.

Please, absolutely do not fall for this scammer and end everything with him.

Heard this story many times. It's a scam. £800 is 6 month's salary in Morocco. He does this as a living - you won't be the only one he has on the go. Heart breaking, but learn the lesson.
