Costs of a medical consultation?

Ouardi

Hello,

Yesterday I went to a medical auscultation  by specialist of the chest, lungs and allégrgies. He charged me of 300 EL. I found it too much. Isn'it? Could you tell me please how much it costs normally such a consultation and what do I do to protest against these practices.

thank you in advance.

Kamel.

Hi Ouardi,

I hope other members will be able to help you.

it's up to where u went to have this consultation,if u will go to a famous hospital u will maybe pay more than 300 e.g,and if u will go to a normal one u will pay less,so it's up to u,,,can i know where do u live?,so i can tell u about a good hospital and not like that expensive,,,,and i hope for u speed recovery :)

Ouardi

Actually what bothers me is not the price. I'm willing to pay whatever it costs since it is the correct one. What revolts me is that the costs depend on the patient's nationality, being a foreigner you do not pay the same as an Egyptian, and I find it outrageous :(.

mr.hatahitos

i agree with u

Geely

if you have a residence visa in (most?) hospitals you have to pay the same amount as an Egyptian

Hello
As a consultant i can tell u
a) consultants in areas like haram-faysal they dnt charge more than 100 / consult , extra for investigations
b) areas like mohandeseen , maadi , fees start from 100-150
c) some charge more because they think they are old and expert , some because they claim foreigners should pay 1.5x or 2x
d) i dont recommend hospitals for a consultation , you will pay a lot and you might not easily see the same consultant again

I point out in passing that I come from an Arab country and I speak perfectly Arabic with an accent of course. It's painful every time that people realize that I am a foreigner, they try by all means to fuck me, believe me it's painful and unbearable.
What it must be for those who do not speak any Arabic..
