I have been informed that for any application for a Resident Guest Scheme Visa or a Resident Visa, I will have to enter Sri Lanka on a Entry Visa. You can come down to sri lanka with guardian visa if you have kids and still they are schooling.

So they will give u guardian visa. Once u find employment then you can transfer you guardian visa to permanent residence. Else come down to sri lanka on a visit visa. Then find a job and convert you visa in to company sponsorship.
