We have a 10 year Lichna Karta but after being here 6 years someone said we must also carry our passport....seems mad since you have to submit your passport to get a lichna karta and I hate taking my passport out with me unless I'm travelling out of the country...better safe in a drawer at home!
Anyone know what the regulation is if there is one?

If you have only the paper document (not the plastic card with your picture) you must carry a photo identification with it. If you have the actual card (which I think is pretty much standard now) with your photo and egn, you do not need to carry your passport.
