Anyone know what the latest is about these rumours that people are being refused entry if overstayed before.
Don't fancy flying all that way and then being refused.
Anyway the whole thing seems pointless as they have this fine system in operation which has worked for years and is still in operation but they are banning people now seems rather pointless.

I agree with planner, and I also think that no news is good news. After a 2 months stay, we left on March 22. We paid the fines and had no problem leaving the country. Before that there had been a thread on this site about refusal to entry the country. At the passport control I asked the clerk about this issue. He didn't know anything about this issue, and he more or less lauhgted at me for asking such a stupid queastion. Maybe those people who have been denield to entry the country have other issues than overstaying.
