Hello Priscilla, Good Morning

What are the main factors that contribute to stress when moving to Bahrain?

I faced the following stress factors when i moves to bahrain. (Subjective & Personal)

1. Mainly stress are is due to family separation and emotional stress. We need to motivate yourself and move ahead . We are indirectly supporting our family and making them happy . Its been three months but still i cant say i complete moved out of this stress but it takes time and  it depends on individual. I generally talk to my parents and close ones on daily basis this makes me satisfied that i am not very far from them.

2. Managing People : I faced problem in managing people since we meet people from different cultural and religious back ground. Specially in your work atmosphere its more complex to manage people. We need to master this art. I am still learning.  Technique i am using is to talk less and just concentrate only on work. More personal discussion we avoid with our colleague its better.

3. Financial Stress:  This can be avoid only by proper planning. You need to prioritize your needs and expense it accordingly. ( I will do a separate post on COST OF LIVING IN BAHRAIN 2018)

4. Managing Study and Work: I am doing my studies and work . Managing time and focus on studies and be consistent is very difficult for me .This stress still i am struggling to overwork. I need suggestions from other members

I will update this post when i find some techniques.

Dealing with stress is not some thing easy, but if you have someone who is there to talk to you whenever you are in such case, one of the remedies is to listed to funny jokes that will make you smile and laugh out, people don't know  when you laugh out loud you are removing the pain and stress you are in, and secondly music and reading books of inspiration and some scriptures like Psalm and job.

Coming out of stress are so many remedies but at  least practice the easy once first and common, it  is not easy that common but  you have to be strong and get someone by your side.

Leave bahrain its the option..! Am at Dubai now

It is common some people will feel odd at a new place. The variation in the culture and climate and change of timezone may be the reason for the stress.

Socialise with other expats. It will help you feel better. Most people here are expats and they are here only for bigger savings opportunities. However, there are places to socialise in Bahrain.

For instance, City Centre Bahrain (http://www.citycentrebahrain.com/) has a fitness program called 'City Walkers' which is a free workout session during alternate days in the mall. It gives a great opportunity to make some friends. the workout will help you reduce stress as well. Maybe you should enrol in the program. It is free.

give me your personal contact if you don't mind.. then i will share the details
