Speaking French in the Democratic Republic of Congo

Hi everyone,

It is widely agreed that speaking French is essential for a successful integration in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Do you agree? Share your experience!

Do you speak French? If so, where did you learn this language? Where can one attend a language course in the Democratic Republic of Congo?

If not, how do you cope with daily activities? Is it easy to communicate in a different language with Congoleses?

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Priscilla

Hi Priscilla,

I do speak French and I found it even more helpful to speak lingala in Kinshasa, which I am learning now. It is a rather easy language once you get the hang of it.

It is  very essential because its Francophonic country. There are very few people know the english except Expart. I was lucky that i have meet a good teacher Mr. blackson, 0825 998 914. Now i can understand and speak french.
