Hi everyone,

I will be moving to France soon for a new job. I am wondering how the taxation on the income works. Any advise is much appreciated!

Thank You!

Priscilla

Hi Priscilla,

thanks for your reply!

The tax System in France seem to be pretty complex. I would like to understand what will remain in my pocket at the end of the month. I will be receive a salary of 60k/year. Do you have any clue on what would be the net from this? and on the net I have heard there are some taxes too!

Thanks
Lorenzo

Could you update us on how you found France?

Hello, your income is 60k€/year (brut or net)?

It depends too on whether you're single, married, number of children...
There are different brackets after that - you pay x% on the first level of income, then y% on an amount above that, and so on, up the levels.
If you go into your tax office, they can help you figure it out.
