Not iguaba Grande anymore

Hi there all
the rain we had Monday night has washed "quite" a bit of Iguaba Grande out into the lagoon, so there thinking of changing the name to Iguaba Small
did any other expat have problems with the rain Monday night

Hi Pete,

It started raining here in Macaé at 5pm and rained all night, but we must have been right on the edge of it because it didn't really rain very hard.

it started raining here about 5 as well and stopped around 4 in the morning
I don't know how much rain we had, but I had a dry well that is 8 meters deep that's full of water now

The hardest hit areas were around Iguaba Grande, Saquarema, Silva Jardim and Araruama in the Lagos Region.  Iguaba Grande got 109mm of rain in 4 hours, an amount expected over 15 days.

Some pretty shocking video (in Portuguese): http://g1.globo.com/rj/regiao-dos-lagos … o-rio.html
