My wife, who is a Vietnamese national, and I, married here in Australia last year. We want to register our marriage in Vietnam. She is originally from Hanoi. Can this be done from Australia? If so, how doing we go about this? If not, what must we do from here on?

My Vietnamese wife suggests you ask the Vietnamese Embassy here in Canberra. It may take several attempts to get the correct staff member. Try via http://vietnamembassy.org.au/

Many thanks. Yes, you are right. We have tried the Embassy in Canberra however, to date, we haven't had much luck. Guess we will have to be a little more persistent.
