Recently, i successfully opened an account in Bank Alinma located at Siteen st. Jeddah and want to share the news with other members facing the issue of name difference printed in iqama. Last name written in English is different from last name written in Arabic. Minor spelling mistake but ended up being rejected from majority of banks to open bank account.
a) Bank didnt asked for salary certificate or employment letter from sponsor
b) Quick Service: Bank was not crowded and they also have the facility to apply for bank account through their website.
c) My account & ATM card was prepared and handed over within 20 mins

After seting up the account i will apply for name change through Jawazat before the expiry.
This is to avoid any hassle when submitting copy of renewed iqama at bank.

congratulations with your new bank account!

spelling problems really is a dilemma for the expats.

what's worse, it is not even our fault, yet we have to endure delays because of this.
