A newish member, planning a trip to Brazil in December. (original post said September, but needed more time to prepare).   Technically as a tourist, but looking to leverage it into a success-enabling experience.  Career-furtherance.  Looking for my power spot(s).  I'm a guitarist/songwriter, using music to promote living in balance with nature.  Wide-ranging influences, including Jorge Ben, Jobim, but principally American and British rock & folk of 1960s & '70s. Also write essays and informational pieces on climate change, deforestation, aspects of culture which produce these things, etc.

So, do your interests tie in to these things?  Outcomes could range from someone to hang out with, to collaboration in a band or project.

I have many ideas and questions that some of you might be able to answer, but I’ll give y’all a break and not send them all in one post.  Thanks!

James

Hi wkeith,

On behalf of the entire Expat-blog Team, welcome on board. I hope your experience on the blog will be both enjoyable and informative.

I know that you're going to love travelling the country, it's incredible no matter where you go. I've visited 7 states since arriving in Brazil over eleven years ago no and lived in five of them.

One warning if you are visiting anywhere in the Amazon rainforest, especially in the state of Mato Grosso it is best not to be vocal about deforestation, it can be extremely dangerous.
