Places to visit in Virginia

Post new topic

Julie

Hi,

For the ones living in Virginia, what would you suggest to discover the region?

When you have friends or family visiting you, where do you go with them? What are the must-see places in Virginia, the tourist sites?

How to visit the region in an original way? Any unusual or unknown place to recommend?

What would you suggest for a couple of days of for a week of holidays in Virginia?

Thank you in advance for participating ;)

Washington D.C has lots of historical places, museums and many sites to visit. The white House is a must. I also like Great Falls, it has a virginia side and a Maryland side. Personally I like Maryland's side. How about a 3 hours drive to the beach in Ocean City? Or you can keep going to NYC.
I've been living here for 3 years and I didn't visit lots of places due to my work load, but I always hear about great places such as the caverns.
Let us know if you find sone interesting places and let's build our own list :)
