Hi,

For the ones living in North Carolina, what would you suggest to discover the region?

When you have friends or family visiting you, where do you go with them? What are the must-see places in North Carolina, the tourist sites?

How to visit the region in an original way? Any unusual or unknown place to recommend?

What would you suggest for a couple of days of for a week of holidays in North Carolina?

Thank you in advance for participating ;)

North Carolina has both Mountains and Ocean to choose from and much in between.

Ideally suited for people who enjoy hiking, the Appalachian mountains are accessible for a broad range of hiking/walking abilities. Most of the beauty of the Appalachians are best enjoyed around the Boone/Blowing Rock area. Depending on time/interest, anything from extended camping hikes along the Appalachian Trail to day hikes to casual shopping/dining excursions are popular in that area. For best scenery, Autumn is recommended for the colorful landscape when foliage begins to turn color.

The Coast of NC is ideally suited for family vacations. Renting a house on the beach is peaceful and relaxing. Local restaurants specialize in local seafood, like shrimp and flounder.

Outdoorsmen will especially enjoy NC as there is plenty of fishing and hunting and these activities are extremely popular.
