I recently posted a topic on being a PFA (Self Employed) and recieved very valuable responses - thank you to all on the forum.  I now have another problem - I am registering myself as a freelancer with the authorities, and they need my place of residence to be registered as my 'headquarters'.  Whilst i understand this, Im finding it very difficult to lease an apartment for mself and my family where the landlord will allow this registration as a HQ.

This seems to be a big stumbling block - has anypone come accross this before?

I had the same problem. I registered the HQ to a friend apartment that he owns. No one lives there but it's the only way we found (we will change it later). After this you will also need the signatures of the neighbors.  They have to agree they don't mind you having a HQ in the building/house.

Thanks adrien - good idea, and good to see its not just me.  Ive found some short term serviced office for about €200/month that I will probably use to get myself going - for 6 months anyway.

I think that you can find some better offers - below €100/month for a virtual office.
Take a look at: http://www.dbh-servicedoffice.com/locatii/bucuresti
or here (€150/year): http://www.fabrica-de-firme.ro/sedii-so … uresti.php

We registered a company in Arges County using an estate agent, He did all of the legwork & we had the documents translated & signed at our Notary office. He found us an address locally at an accountants to register as the company address. Though long winded the process has been quite straight forward. I live in a rented apartment & cannot use this as the address without the permission of the owner & all other tenants.
