I am an engineer about to move to Libya and would like to find friends in Tripoli.
I live in Los Angeles right now, I know it would be a bit of change from LA to Tripoli.
I just want to know how much?
thanks.

Hi there,

you should have a look to the Libya expat network, it might help a lot ;)

There is a pretty large group of expats from Central and Southern America in Tripoli.  We have two Mexican engineers that work at my husband's company currently and I have met plenty of Colombians and Venezualans as well.  I am sure you will have no trouble finding friends here.  Good luck on the move.  Take a look through our many threads and you will find a lot of the answers that you seek I am sure.

Yes - Malta is probably the most popular short break destination. Take off by 4:15pm and in the bar by 6:30pm :)

Last time we went (mid September) we got a package deal through Air Malta. Flights plus three nights at the Intercontinental 5* in Paceville (the centre of the nightlife scene) was around 800 Lyd for two of us. Worked out at least 50% cheaper then buying on the net.

How much money....how long is a piece of string? It's not a cheap place to have fun. I reckon the two of us went through almost 1,000 Euro last time ;)
