Accessing Retirement Account (CIPAV) Online

Hello,

I am an American and I worked as an independent contractor in Paris and made retirement contributions to CIPAV.

When I stopped working I terminated my account.

I was told that my benefits when I retire in 2023 would be approximately 50 euros per month.

I have since done some traveling and moved back to the USA.

When I logged onto to the organization's website ( cipav-retraite.fr) the site informed me that access was not authorized because I terminated more than a year ago.

I would like to monitor the status of my account.

Is this possible?

Am I still eligible to do this?

Many thanks,
dlj

Francesca

CIPAV will do everything to sabotage any claim. I had a fight over unwarranted contributions, it lasted 3 years, cost me 3200Euros. Then at my retirement they did not treat my file. 6 months ago I wrote to the ombudsman, never the reception of my letter was acknowledged. now I cannot access the web service. so you better be very insistant

Hi,
Thanks for the info.
I have found out that the US Social Security Admin will automatically take care of this.
There seems to be some agreement between the US and other countries concerning eligible retirement claims.
I don't know how well it works?
:)
