We invite all the ones who got married in Turkey or who are about to get married in Turkey to participate in this thread 
What are the formalities to get married in Turkey? Is it the same for a couple of foreigners of for a mixed couple (between a foreigner and a native of Turkey)?
Are the procedures complicated?
How long does it take to carry out all the formalities?

Hi,got married last year to a turkish national and to be honest it was not very difficult since we had all necessary documents required.İ had to get a letter from my country's marriage office showing i was single and also another from the foreign affairs office.Glad everything went well.wish you the best.

in my home country (EGYPT) getting my documents was not so easy exactly as mentioned in meggi post but the marriage procedcures was so easy here in turkey as they just need those papers from u and everything goes smooth.....

The documents you need to get married in Turkey are:
-Residence in Turkey of at least one of the couple
-Registration of residence (Muhtar)
-The original birth certificate
-Letter from the marriage office proving to be single
-Criminal record
-Health Report
