Hi all,

we invite you to share your experience about moving to Serbia.

Here is a list of questions which might help the ones preparing their move to Serbia:

What would you bring and what would you leave behind?

Is it a good idea to bring furniture or domestic appliances?

Any foodstuffs that are banned in Serbia?

Is it better to bring a car or to buy one once settled in Serbia?

Any advice for the ones who are moving to Serbia?

Thank you in advance for your participation :)

I have been living in Serbia for 5 1\2 yrs now. I did not have to bring furniture because my husband is from Serbia so he had all of that. I am org. from the u.s.a and I have visited Kika and they have some items that you can get from the u.s.a but they are a little expensive but it's for sure way less then you would pay by post or a moving company.  I was going to have my truck brought from the u.s.a but the cost was about 7,000 dollars for that amount I could buy a new car over here.  The only thing that I still can't find today is the spice Cumin I did bring some from the u.s but have run out and I have yet to find it.  Other then that I don't find cooking hard at all. So I guess what it boils down to is bring only what you have to most of the stuff you can buy if need be.
