Said,

Most firms in here look for candidates with a few years of experience in their field.  Entry level recruiting for expats in not there unfortunately.

I would suggest you get at least a couple of yours of experience under your belt; build your network here meanwhile and attempt a move to the area again.

Hope this helps.

Kris,

It always take a while to find the right position, especially in this region.  Somtimes it feels here as if you are in a a large construction project, being a Civil Engineer you should have a few opportunities.

Your first post is too broad, start with the most important area first and I can answer some questions.

Hope this helps.

Hi again,

Thanks a lot for your suggestion. However do you know any website where I can apply for job?Meanwhile, How is the life in Qatar(accomodation,food,nightlife...)

Have a nice day and Hope to hear from you soon.

Best Regards

You can try Bayt.com and GulfTalent.com and see if that helps.  Personally, I like to use LinkedIn, get yourself a profile on LinkedIn and connect with the right people in the region.  You will be able to find recruiters who specialized in the Gulf region as well.

Qatar is pretty modern, you should not worry too much about that.  Housing is expensive for the quality.  There are a few places for nightlife and all, Dduai and Bahrain are only half an hour away by air.

Hope this helps.

I thought you were going to complain about the lack of response or effectiveness of job boards in the Middle East (like bayt.com).  Personally, I registered my CV for a number of years now with Bayt.com, while results are mixed and debatable, no one ever asked me for ransom or 1000's of dollars as you mentioned.

For the record,I have no affiliation with bayt.com whatsoever.  I was going to ask what you were smoking while making that post, but may be I shouldn't.

Hi there I am new in Qatar..Looking to meet new freinds...
please contact...BBBB

Hi any  advice about how to know the rules and work contract in qatar....???

Any group activities social or sports outdoors in Doha Qatar....???

BBBB,

There isn't a one-stop shop for such information in Qatar unfortunately. Normally you get two or more different answers to the same question.    Anything specific you are looking for?

QatarLiving.com is an excellent resource.

Hope this helps.
