electrical help

Post new topic

Marcel W

Hi, I have had an Airbnb in Santiago for about 3 years now and my electrical bill with 3 mini splits has always came in about 5-7 mil pesos monthly. We have recently had a "company" I found on FB install an inversor with 2 batteries (1.5kw) 3 months ago. Now my monthly electric bill comes in around 15 mil pesos. We had another person come out and they noticed the pervious company had everything connected to the inversor which should not have been such as, ac, electronic door opener and the hot water heater. The inversor no longer works. the company wont honer thier warrently and now im stuck for looking for a qualifed electriction or someone whe actaully knows what they are doing.

Any recommendations are greatly apprecieted.

Thank you in advance.

So the a/c wouldn't have gone through the inverter they are 220 power. Door opener yes and maybe the hot water heater depending if it's 110 or 220.

Really common to find they won't honor their work or guarantee, I am sorry you are experiencing this.  I don't know an electrician in Santiago. I hope someone else does.
