Working as family medicine specialist in Qatar

Hi,

I am an Australian GP considering moving to Qatar. How do I apply for a family medicine specialist job there ? Is it better to apply through recruitment agency or directly to primary health care corporation ?

Thanks for your help.

Sometimes interviews are done via agency and applying through PHCC website will have the same impact.

Note: You should not pay any agency fee its a free recruitment.

Hi

If You have some connection here in Qatar it will be the best for You. If not go thru agency.

Hi,

I understand DHP Qatar have updated their policy and it is more difficult for British (UK) Doctors to obtain a medical licence who have only worked under NHS England and not the NHS TRUST, even though they are part of the same body and their duties are the same. This is a very confusing and I can only assume DHP Qatar might not understand the NHS England structure. After all a Doctor is a Doctor regardless of which setting they work in.

I hope DHP Qatar revise their policy as this could potentially be a problem for the future of British Doctors and for medical organisations based in Qatar who are keen on employing British Doctors.

@shirazk121 Can this be bypassed by sitting the prometric exam?

I have no clue with regards to this. The rules are different for each country so best to check eith DHP Qatar.
