Hello!
My name is John, I am a 45-year-old American man currently living in Marrakesh, Morocco. I've been living here for the past 2 years, and I must say, it's been an incredible journey. This city has so much to offer, from the rich culture and history to the beautiful architecture, not to mention the delicious food and warm hospitality of the people.
I am a traveler and love exploring new places and cultures. I have been to many places in Morocco, and I have always found something new and interesting. I would love to share my experiences with you all and hear about yours.
I am excited to be a part of this expat community and to connect with other people who share my passion for this beautiful country. Let's share our experiences and stories, and let's make the most of our time here in Morocco!

Hello everyone,
I have no idea what I am doing, but it feels like I finaly found what I was looking for. I met the most amazing man on a road trip through Morocco. We kept in touch and met for a second time. Now I am travelling to his home town near the desert to meet his family. And stay there for 3 months. I am exited and scared at the same time. Can a Dutch, spoiled girl like me live in the desert? We will see...
Best regards
Greetings. Interested to learn anything I can about living and owning a Riad in Morocco - we just love the country and have Moroccan friends. We are serious, professional property investors.
From reading the thread it seems we need to explore Tangiers which is coming out preferred to Marrakech? We are looking for a minimum 8 bed Riad, we are open to doing renovation work but would need an introduction to a decent builder and artisans. I had a look at Miss "I have the most fab Riad in Marrakech" - I see the concept and for sure they have done well but we have other ideas and can offer alternatives to hers concept. There is plenty of demand for a well run Riad in our opinion. We have already approached a Manager for the upcoming Riad but are interested to talk with other Riad Managers who want more control of the Riad they run.
I am currently researching properties in Koh Samui Thailand, my partner is busy with UK property.
In terms of timing we can come visit in the UK Summer time or early Summer. We are interested in buying direct from vendors not via agents. So - happy to look at Riads for offer - we do have a couple in mind already.
hello everyone
I am a Spanish who is traveling through Morocco.
I traveled from 09/27/22 to 12/25/22, at which time I left Morocco to re-enter on 12/27/22.
Now in March it will be 90 days that I am here and I wanted to know if I could come back for three more months and how could I do it?
If I have to go back to Spain to be able to enter again or can I go to a police station to grant me three more months?
@Guest9742 Hello dear! first wish you all the best in your new adventure. Second, life is an adventure, so why not a Dutch girl go into an adventure. I've heard about bad thing on Morocco but when i was there i was surprised with what is the reality. Especially Merzouga Sahara Desert, the people are so nice and helpful. I love the slow life there and the atmosphere.
Wish you all the best once again!

@Guest9742 welcome to Morocco at any time.
Okay thanks lidri u Ethiopian u live in Morroco
Hello all,
I'm Francois, I'm a South African married to a Moroccan, we're in the middle of a move to Casablanca with our two kids, 11 and 9. I lived in Casa years ago (2008-2010), and am glad to return.
I thought to join the forum to ask advice on schools. My wife and I speak French to each other but the kids can't speak it, which complicates the process of applying to school like Leon l'Africain. At the same time we don't want to put them in international English-medium schools. What are the options here, what do people do?
Grateful thanks for any advice!

Hello, I am a newbie in this forum but not in Morocco and have been living here for the past 4 years. I am originally from Singapore but have lived, worked and studied in the United States prior moving to Morocco. It is a beautiful country and the people here are very hospitable although we have a few scammers here and there just like any other countries.
Hello Everyone.
I am planning on moving to Morocco this May or June. I have been lurking around this site on and off for a while, I'm great-full for all of the great info that everyone shares on here.
I have two questions. As For the Criminal History check required for American citizens,
Does the report have to be from the FBI or can it be from the State Police or Local Police department?
Also does the report need to be apostilled?
(currently for the FBI it takes 2 weeks to get plus it takes another 2 to 3 months to get an apostille from the US State Department. From the State or local Police it is a lot quicker.
