As the title says,

i will be going for saudi arabia and ofcourse to obtain the work visa ill need to go through a medical exam,

i am a frequent cannabis user,

Is the medical test for only diseases or do they also conduct a drug test?

Has anyone else gone through this and how long ago,

Note: I abide by KSA law not to do drugs i am only doing it in pakistan but ofcourse in ksa i wont even think about because i have a career to

care of

Not sure why you are posting it again.   I already clarified this in responses over the past week.

Saudi work visa medical is only for infectious diseases, period.   Drug tests are subject to your employer policies.

İts for diseases only whether visa or iqama,

@XTang Thank you sir,

if you dont mind me asking do you know someone who has gone in recent times.

My sincere apologies for not search for the posts before posting.

I know many people that have gone in recent times.  None of them was tested for drugs based on the test list that they saw. I am not sure how that helps you - it is clear that the Saudi visa medical is only for infectious diseases............employer can add on tests if they want.  And see, this is the point, don't do things that give you anxiety in certain situations.  You have time till you arrive in Saudi so go cold turkey now.........and in 15 days or so, it will be out of your system.   Don't be stupid and keep smoking till you get on a plane based on assurances given by everyone here (btw they have sniffer dogs at the airport who are trained to sniff for drugs).........better to be safe from all angles.

By the way, the above reminds me of a story which should reinforce the point of you going cold turkey now irrespective of the visa medical.

Someone I know lent his car to his son.   And apparently, the son and his friends smoked in it.   This was on a Thursday.   On Sunday, the guy crossed the causeway from Bahrain into Saudi.  At customs, the sniffer dogs went wild.  They pulled his car to the side and sent it into the X-ray.  There was nothing.   But the official seemed to suspect him..........the guy was made to go through an x-ray first to see if he was carrying.  That was negative and they then did the blood test.  That was negative as well.   Nothing happened to him of course but he wasted almost a day in this process.  Now imagine, if any test was positive, what would have happened?

So don't be stupid.  They don't mess around here.

@XTang Thank you so much,

my whole deal is that ill be smoking but cold turkey before flight like 3-4 days cuz ill be busy and upon arrival ill never touch it cuz of work and responsibilities.

i have lived in ksa years ago but now ill be going on my visa inshallah so the smoking situation based on your thing for medical test gave me ease and also yes before flight NO WAY cuz i travel alot on EU and Gulf but only smoking in pakistan.

the second thing you told me about is if and only if i do it in ksa but that'll never happen tbh i respect ksa laws
