Iqama medical exam for Saudi Arabia

hithere123

Hi there. I am a Canadian citizen i did a medical exam before coming to KSA which I got a visit visa for. During my medical exam I got a false positive for my Syphilis Screen. Now to get iqama i have to do another medical exam. I do Not have Syphilis but what if it comes positive in the exam as it previously has. I have a note and other tests to prove that I do not have syphilis from a doctor in Canada. Will I get iqama and how should I address the issue when I go for my medical exam

It all depends on the medical test that you will do IN THE KINGDOM upon arrival.

@XTang could you please explain more as I am confu

hithere123

@XTang will they for sure screen me for syphilis as I heard sometimes they don’t do all the tests for the medical exam once in KSA for Iqama

They will take a blood test and X-ray. Most screening is for HIV, Hep etc.  So yes, there is a likelihood that they wont even test for it.

They are very relaxed on testing compared to other GCC countries.  Now if it was Bahrain, I could tell you that YES they will do ALL the tests.  But Saudi, it really varies.  I mean, I didn't even go through an X-ray!!!.

@XTang  ok if they don’t test for it, it will be much easier for me as I won’t have to go through all the explaination for my false positive. But if they do test for it what should I do
