Description
Freelance English Language Trainer | Arve Valley | €30/hour
You moved to France for the mountains, the cheese, the quality of life — why not earn a living here too? We're looking for native or near-native English speakers to join our team of freelance language trainers in the Arve Valley.
This is a great fit if you've recently moved to the area and want flexible, meaningful work — no classroom, no fixed hours, just you and a professional who genuinely wants to improve their English.
What you'll be doing
• Delivering one-to-one English training sessions with adult professionals — at their workplace or at home
• Designing training programmes tailored to each learner's needs and goals
• Tracking progress and adapting your content as you go
• Managing your own schedule — you set your availability
• Collaborating lightly with our admin team for scheduling and logistics
Where you'll be based
We're looking for English language trainers who live within about 15 km of the following towns. Sessions aren't always back-to-back, so being local really matters — you don't want to drive 40 minutes for a single lesson.
Bonneville / Cluses / Scionzier / Sallanches
What we're looking for
• English at C1 level minimum
• Auto-entrepreneur status (or willing to set it up)
• Driving licence your own transport
• Living locally or planning to
• NDA registration number (or in progress)
• Comfortable with Microsoft Office
Why this works for expats
• Flexible hours — mornings, evenings, Saturdays — you build your schedule around your life
• No commute to an office — you're already out in the valley
• Your English is your biggest asset here — finally put it to work
• A friendly admin team to handle the paperwork side with you
The details
• Employment type: Part-time, self-employed / freelance
• Pay: €30.00 per hour
• Location: On-site at clients' workplaces and at learners' homes
