Well it looks like the vote from the lower house has passed the right on to the next level for the Impeachment process to continue as it will become messier as the days go on. I wonder what will be the total fall out for the folks voting for the Impeachment seems as if most have a axe to grind and most are suspect themselves of graft and corruption. I am neutral on the political ramblings and I hope when this ends for Brasil will have years of work to clean up this Hot Me$$. I wonder if any lessons will be learned by the Future Politicians and Will the One's who come to Power address the Needs of the People and the Country for it cannot continue on the Current Path.

Tonight, my husband and I had dinner with our favorite Brazilian couple, and during dinner, we discussed yesterday's turn of events. Out of the four of us, the men would have voted "Yes" and the women would have voted "No," but one thing that we all agreed on was that "Dilma needs to go." Personally, I would have voted "No" on the grounds that all this talk of impeachment just stinks of political maneuvering (If I stop and think about WHO benefits the most from Dilma's possible removal, it becomes very clear as to who is doing the maneuvering.) and also because I believe that there is no constitutional basis for impeachment. Did Dilma commit a crime? Probably. But the official charge is that Dilma used "accounting tricks to mask deficits," and it's flimsy at best compared to the mountain of charges that are pending against numerous corrupt Brazilian politicians - some of whom cast their votes last night!

What a sad joke! 

However, I still think that Dilma should resign because at this point, she is clearly ineffective as a leader and this does not help Brazil. 

Funny tidbits about last night's proceedings that I learned from my Brazilian friends tonight:

1. A clown - yes, Representative Tiririca is an actual former clown - voted last night. Perhaps he was the only one qualified to vote in this circus that we call Brazilian politics. Ha!

2. A female representative who delivered an anti-corruption speech before voting "Yes" last night, had her husband arrested today on corruption charges. LOL

3. Representative Jean Wyllys, who won Big Brother Brazil, is openly gay, spit on the conservative homophobic Representative Jair Bolsonaro, who is known as the "Donald Trump of Brazil."

4. One representative denounced Temer, Cunha, corruption and then proceeded to vote..."Yes." LOL

Let the hilarity ensue, it is like a running joke, you just cannot catch it. It is a real mess. I can only laugh for the country is in shambles and the pranksters are living it up at the stake of the world and the world is watching. It is amusing for the country to just continue to put up with this nonsense. I do find the matter serious as the crisis mode is about the Olympics, Zika, H1N1, pollution, sanitation, corruption, economics and in agreement this impeachment is a farce and the mask of the politicians is a sad cover up for something more sinister waiting in the wings for only the people of Brasil will suffer for years for the politicians will continue to be paid for life and live fat and happy. Well enough of my rant. This play and players have bad timing and bad acting skills.

  Guilt by association means that you personally didn't really do something wrong but that people who you are associated with did. You are judged by the company you keep, so you can be viewed as guilty because of your association with wrongdoers.

It all seems to be a diversion and shell game for this is a political me$$! It seems all the bad actors have been scripted and type cast in this never ending saga. It's like nobodies watching the oven and the bread is burning. Everyone is trying to save there hide and continue with this bad story. It will take decades to clean up this me$$ for who ever inherits it or elected to the position all will be pardoned for no one will see the inside of a lovely Brazilian Jail . I gue$$ when you become a lifetime criminal you write the laws and violate as one chooses is this a set up for Military Rule to bring order to this chaos? And I thought Belem was Rain City! Just a rant.

In the alternative media, the removal of Brazil's elected President is being called a US coup, with the CIA heavily involved. Of course none of us can know exactly what's going on,l but the CIA does have "form" in the region, going back many, many decades.

RT.com is also "mainstream media", but on the other side. I find it fairly reliable as an alternative to the usual US/NATO propaganda. Here's a recent blog of mine that disrespects the latter. I like the intercept. Glenn Greenwald, who broke the Edward Snowdon leak is one of the principals there. He is definitely no the mainstream and as he lives in Rio has a closer perspective. He has done reporting on the site in English and Portuguese. He interviewed Dilma after the impeachment. I though the interview was sympathetic but in general I think his reporting has been fair.

I read Everything being I am still in the USA for now and what a whirlwind romance it is, I am totally unbiased with the reporting for it is a job and we all know jobs are hard to come by and the media will sensationalize and villianize by any means necessary to twist, turn,trample for one to not be objective. I see criminals turning on criminals in my day we called them finks,rats,crooks and lower than? So you know where I'm going with this for no matter how you slice or cook it, it smells to high hades. I see the media providers as shills and slant the story to appease the masses who do not read or take the time to investigate every twist and turn. I follow a lot of rags and they all are biased for it sells papers. The MSM has it owners and share holders in mind and the more crap they can feed the masses the more toilet paper one needs.
