Rock climbing

Hi Andy, did you ever work out the climbing situation in Ankara? I'm heading there for work for 3 weeks until the end of August, and want to get out on the Sunday's I'm there, and after work of there's a wall. I'll be moving out there long term in a few months, and will be needing to get out more regularly.

There are climbing clups at Metu (Middle East Technical University) and Hacettepe Univerisity. As you said there is one artifical climbing wall at Hacettepe. On the other hand there is a regularly rock climbing meet up at Hüseyin Gazi / Mamak Ankara. When and how they arrange this activities, I dont know but there is.

I finally got myself to Kisa Kaya (kisakayaboulder.com), and had a great night. Small but very friendly.

Disappointingly I found out that Huseyin Gazi has been closed by the army!
