Cost of renting apartment overlooking the Bosphorus

johnderbs

I plan to move to Istanbul next spring and rent an apartment. What is the monthly cost of renting apartment overlooking the Bosphorus?

I'm retired, age 80, and use a walking stick, so a modern building with a lift is essential.

Thank you, John.

Apologies, where is the focus on Istanbul, so many nice places, I can hardly walk myself, but what do you need if 80+

Good restaurants, supermarkets in crawling distance, internet, home delivery, ...

Thanks for getting back. Though I need a stick I like to keep mobile, so walk as much as I can, shopping, siteseeing and so on. Could you recommend a reputable estate agent in Instanbul? Anyone?

@johnderbs I live in Alanya (Mahmutlar), I am not very mobile myself (unfortunately), but here I am in a situation that most of the things are in crawling distance. Supermarkets, barber, butcher, restaurants (!!), etc. Some restaurants within 200 m, some further away (400/500 m), managable (just), alcohol can be bought at a good price at MMM Migros (400 M), cigarettes (but also alcohol), just 100 m away.

I have to accept I am not as mobile as in the past (just life).

Admittedly my wife does the larger part of the shopping, but I could and I do from time to time. Beach just 250 m away (for my wife (not for me)), loads of shops and a very good market (again for my wife (vegs and fruits).

A view is nice (we see mountains and see), but after a few months it is not interesting, what to me important is service and infrastructure.

Ikamet though (even we own) is a concern.
