I have arrived since the beginning of Ramadan but have just found this forum - seems there is a huge expat community here that I did not know about .. perfect timing seeing as I was getting real depressed.

In fact this is an antidepressant group. Not only because we probably should all be on heavy doses of medication, but because we're all looking for the same thing....a little rest from the weariness of being in a foreign country and all alone too!

FYI- y'all I'm planning on getting my scuba license after the holidays. I found a place in Dammam. Anyone up for joining me???

Buuut if u guys gonna plan a trip or sumthing ..i would really enjoy getting to know u ..
Fifa: where do u plan getting ur scuba diving from?? An how much it cost??

I dont know how much it costs yet, I have to call when I get back to Khobar....but its in Dammam...he says in 5 days its done!!!

There was one gathering done already (as you can see from the previous posts), I think better to take their consent before meeting up (of course, if they still exist and still interested for the gathering

Wait, fifi-miller have already put a suggestion of scuba diving.. From one side, it is a good idea and I am game for it, from another side, i dont know any of the members (yet), so perhaps (another) ice breaking session?

I suggest we all get together for some kind of food/liquid refreshment.....after I get back of course....LOL
