Inquiry about my visa status

I just signed a contract from one of the esl schools in Saudia as an ESL Teacher, 12th of May this year. I asked the school's hr and the agent that's responsible doing the paper works, he said that they will update me whenever my visa is approved. It's already July, yet not getting any update from their end whenever I'm having an inquiry about my visa status.

Please enlighten me. I am clueless of what to expect.
